With summer coming who doesn't want a fun, easy, and light meal they can pair with wine?? My all-time favourite appetizer is Charcuterie Plates . They are so easy to make, and they can be pretty filling. Here is my shopping list for a little DIY meal that can be eaten indoors, outdoors, or wherever you please. Happy Dining !
A dry-cured meat (Prosciutto and/or capicola)
Liver pate
Sausage (Sopressata)
A soft cheese (Brie and/or camembert)
A smoked cheese (Chevrelait)
A hard sharp cheese (Applewood smoked cheddar)
Dried cranberries
Jam (fig, strawberry, or raspberry)
Honey (organic)
Olives
Grapes
Figs (if right season)
Dry crackers (plain crackers, breadsticks, or bread)
AND of course WINE!! Something rich and full bodied is always nice with these plates. Prosecco, Port, Pinot Noir, Riesling, San Giovese, or my favourite a nice syrah.
